Men’s Swimming
EMORY, Va. – Caleb Eidson, Nathan Higdon, and J.D. McCray were all double winners and swam a leg of the 400 medley and 400 free relay teams that clinched a victory, to pace the Lees-McRae men’s swimming team, who won 10 of the 11 total events, to a 138-59 dual meet victory over Emory & Henry this afternoon.
THE BASICS

MEN’S NOTABLES:
- Eidson touched first in both the 50 free (24.32) and 100 free (54.24), while Higdon won the 200 IM (2:18.79) and the 200 fly (2:22.26).
- McCray posted victories in the 800 free (9:13.82) and in the 200 back (2:15.99), while also joining Higdon, Stephen Bandy, and Thomas Ware to win the 400 free relay with a time of 3:55.31.
- Ware and Carson Cross also clinched a win in the 200 free (2:07.40) and in the 200 breast (2:38.15) respectively.
- Chase Davis, Cooper Gobble, Cross, and Eidson also claimed the 400-medley relay with a time of 4:09.32.

- “This was a good first meet of the Spring semester. It was a bit of a challenge for us swimming in meters, but we managed to have some good swims. We are looking forward to competing again tomorrow and continuing to progress towards the Conference Carolinas Championships.”

The Bobcats will travel to Mars, Hill, North Carolina on Saturday for a double dual meet against both “Battle for the Blue Ridge Cup” rival King and Mars Hill starting at 1 p.m.
Women’s Swimming
EMORY, Va. – Tate Abbott, Fanny Courbot, Guillermina Rentsch, and Taylor Simmons were all double winners as the Lees-McRae women’s swimming team won 10 of the 11 total events, including clinched each of the two relay events, to claim a 133-45 dual meet win over host Emory & Henry this afternoon.

WOMEN’S NOTABLES:
- Abbott won both the 50 free (27.73) and 100 free (1:00.18) respectively, while Courbot touched first in both the 200 IM (2:34.32) and 200 breast (2:50.93).
- Rentsch claimed the victory in both the 800 free (10:26.12) and in the 200 back (2:36.81), while also teaming up with Abbott, Courbot, and Ana Johnson to clinch the 400 medley relay with a time of 4:41.87.
- Simmons won both the 200 free (2:18.34) and the 400 free (4:52.82).
- Hannah Gunsallus, Kayla Fleming, and Lucia Ruchti teamed up with Simmons to win the 400 free relay with a time of 4:25.17.
