Julia Sneden Commits to Washington and Lee University

Washington and Lee University gains a multi-stroke talent, as Julia Sneden commits to swim for the Generals next season.  Sneden currently swims for Team Charlotte (club) and Providence Day School (High School), both based in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she has shown promise in breaststroke, butterfly and IM events.

Sneden performed notably well at the 2014 North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association (NCISAA) Championships this past February.  Her 2:12.43 time in the 200y IM earned her second place, while her 1:00.56, clocked in the 100y butterfly, positioned her in fifth place for that event.

Throughout this year, Sneden racked up additional best times in the following events:

100y breaststroke – 1:08.45
200y breaststroke – 2:26.53
100y butterfly – 58.72
400y IM – 4:39.17

Sneden heads to the Lexington, VA-based, Division III Washington and Lee University along with recently-announced commit Elle Chancey.
