Jordan McGinty Stays In-state with Verbal to Minnesota

Jordan McGinty of the Aquajets Swim Club and Wayzata High School has committed to swim for the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers in 2019-20. She will join Emma Lezer in the class of 2023.

McGinty was runner-up in the 100 free (50.42) at the 2017 MSHSL Girls AA Swim & Dive Championships in November. She also led off the runner-up 200 medley relay (25.78 backstroke), and anchored the fourth-place 400 free relay (50.31). In club swimming, she competed in the 50/100 free, 100 back, 100 fly, and 200 IM at Winter Juniors West, and in the 50/100/200 free, 50/100/200 back, 100 breast, 50/100 fly, and 100/200 IM at the 2018 NCSA Spring Championship. That meet accounted for PBs in the 50/100/200 free, 100/200 back, 50/100 fly, and 100 IM.

Congrats to Jordan and the McGinty family. The Gophers continues to attract in-state talents, many of whom swim for Aquajets.
