Nestled in the oak trees on the beautiful LSU campus in Baton Rouge, LA  Tiger Aquatics is seeking qualified applicants for a full time, salaried Head Coach position for its USA Swimming Club Team. The TAQ Head Coach reports to the LSU Swimming Head Coach. Tiger Aquatics (TAQ) is a competitive team that trains over ~200 swimmers year-round from the developmental level to the college bound athlete and offers multiple different training levels. TAQ operates out of 2 facilities: the main site is the LSU Natatorium, which is an 8 lane 50m x yd facility. Throughout the short course season the LSU site will operate in 18 short course lanes plus an additional 6 short course lanes in the 84 degree diving pool. The Denham Springs site, which is a six lane 25 yard facility, has a current program director overseeing 80 swimmers. The LSU Natatorium is the premier facility in the Louisiana LSC and TAQ hosts several meets throughout the year including the Age Group and/or Senior State Championships.

Desired Candidate Professional Skills, Abilities and Duties
Required:
• Enthusiasm and passion for the development of young athletes, at all skill levels
• Demonstrated success developing and implementing a comprehensive age group swim team program, with expertise using a range of training techniques for all groups and abilities. Direct responsibility of coaching Senior Swimmers
• Experience with implementing dryland training programs for swimmers.
• Excellent communication skills, including interpersonal communications skills to work effectively with staff, swimmers, parents, vendors, and the community.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills. Familiarity with Team Unify, Meet Manager and Colorado Timing Systems.
• Leadership to work cooperatively and collaboratively with coaching staff at both TAQ facilities
• Knowledge, compliance and commitment to Safe Sport regulations.
• Develop and communicate weekly swim club newsletter(s) and other timely updates as needed.
• Work as designated Meet Director(s) to plan and execute Team-hosted meets, including securing necessary USA Swimming officials.
• Leadership of program to provide supervision and direction to assistant coaches, such as regular staff meetings, approval of timesheets, updates to work schedules and job assignments, coach development plans, performance evaluations and assist with hiring staff
• Responsible for promoting and growing team membership

Qualifications:
• Undergraduate degree preferred
• Minimum of 4 years of competitive swim coaching experience
• ASCA Level 2 or 3
• Member in good standing with USA Swimming and current on all background checks and required certifications
• Valid Driver’s License
