NOVA of Virginia Aquatics is accepting applications for a Full-Time Senior Coach. NOVA of Virginia Aquatics is an 800 member Gold Medal USA Swimming Club Team located in Henrico, Virginia. Additionally the SwimNOVA Lessons program teaches 3,000 youth annually. NOVA operates out of two Club owned and managed facilities in the western suburbs of the fast growing Richmond metropolitan area. This position will support and carry out the Vision, Values, and Behaviors of the club through leadership, development, and following the direction of the senior program.
Responsibilities:
- Execute senior workout groups as assigned by the Head Senior Coach in both lead and assistant roles. Write workouts and develop seasonal plan with the Head Senior Coach.
- Implement a curriculum for various levels of the NOVA Senior program.
- Professionally communicate with and help educate parents and swimmers.
- Must be available for all meets associated with the groups you work with.
- Attend regular staff meetings and contribute to the team.
- Participate in Team Functions.
- Recruit swimmers from summer league by attending summer league meets and conducting clinics.
- May be required to complete other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Head Senior Coach.
Qualifications:
- Candidates should have 3 years or more of competitive swim coaching experience.
- Candidates should have current certifications in APT, CPR, First Aid, Swim Coaches Safety Training, and current USA Swimming coach registration in good standing.
- High energy, positive attitude, strong teaching/ technical background
