Learn 2 Swim Coordinator

Position: Learn 2 Swim Coordinator
Compensation: Starting at $25+/hr based on experience. Up to 20 hours per week during the build up and during the lesson sessions.
Reports To: Executive Director
Position Overview: Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Learn 2 Swim Coordinator will oversee all aspects of our swim lessons program, ensuring high safety standards, excellent curriculum, effective communication, and efficient business operations. This role involves leadership and guidance to swim instructors, parents, and students to ensure a positive and successful swimming experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Operations:
- Manage registration, billing, record maintenance, and communication.
- Ensure high-quality standards and strong enrollments.
- Conduct periodic customer satisfaction surveys.
Staff Management:
- Hire, train, schedule, supervise, evaluate, and retain instructors.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions.
- Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to instructors.
Program Development:
- Stay updated on new trends in swimming instruction.
- Incorporate new methods into the curriculum for continuous improvement.
- Coordinate marketing strategies to promote the program.
Safety and Standards:
- Maintain exceptionally high safety standards.
- Establish policies for safety, communication, staff accountability, programming, and registration.
- Ensure compliance with competitive team standards and proper transition between lessons and competitive swimming.
Team Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with the Head Coach and other coaches.
- Foster team spirit and maintain a positive attitude.
- Communicate effectively with swimmers, parents, community members, and staff.
Team Culture Responsibility
- Model and celebrate the club’s values and behaviors.
- Work respectfully with club leaders and staff.
- Apply positive, consistent, and effective motivation strategies.
- Exhibit and maintain a positive attitude and team-building spirit.
- Demonstrate cooperative, prompt, and respectful communication.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years of experience in Aquatic Program/Swim School management.
- Experience with safety standards, staff supervision, budgeting, business operations, and program development.
- Knowledge of various swim school models and safety procedures.
- Strong aquatic background with current Lifeguard and Lifeguard Instructor Certification (Lifeguard Instructor Trainer Certification a plus).
- Significant experience as a swim instructor and supervising aquatic staff.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated administrative skills in scheduling staff and swimmers.
