Camp II: Sunday, June 9 – Thursday, June 13, 2024

The Camp Director designs the daily itinerary and the content of each session for campers who are 9 – 17 years old.

 

Head Coach: 

The Head Coach is responsible for the design and implementation of all pool session and dryland training. The Head Coach will also lead the video classroom session, choosing the video(s) that pertain to each day’s stroke. The Head Coach will assign staff accordingly for practice session. The Head Coach must have the ability to work independently within the Camp Director’s design.  The Head Coach supports the counselors on the safety and well-being of the campers while moving between locations, on location, and overnight in the dorms. The Head Coach will reside in the assigned camp dorm for each session.

 

  • Experience Required: 1-2 years of collegiate or USA Swimming coaching experience.
  • Preferred Certification(s):
    • USA Swimming – Active Coach Member, with all requirements current.
    • American Red Cross Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR, and AED

 

Counselors: 

Counselors must have the ability to support the Head Coach and follow instruction within each session. Counselors take the lead on the safety and well-being of the campers while moving between locations, on location, and overnight in the dorms. Counselors reside in the assigned camp dorm for each session.

 

  • Experience Required: Must be 18 years or older.
  • Preferred Experience: Prior work experience with Day Care, summer league coaching, or prior camp counselor experience.
  • Preferred Certification: American Red Cross Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR, and AED

 

A typical day includes two pool sessions, one dryland session, two classroom sessions, and games throughout the day and evening.  All staff are required to eat in the campus dining hall with campers.

 

  • Salary: Commensurate with experience and role at camp. 1099 employee.
  • Included: Meals, housing, campus parking pass and apparel. Housing between sessions. Use of campus Rec facility entire length of stay.
  • All candidates must pass a background check, and complete US Sports Camps paperwork.
