The Opportunity
757swim is currently seeking an Executive Director to join our team. The Executive Director
(ED) reports directly to the Board of Directors (BOD) and is subject to the organization’s official
bylaws. The ED will build and grow a culture of excellence for 757swim, providing strategic
direction and daily operational oversight to all senior staff ensuring the achievement of the
organization’s mission, as well as the annual goals and objectives. The ED will also have the
experience and ability to contribute as a coach to support group practice needs. The ED will
lead the development of the organization as a strategic partner to the BOD and will participate
and advise on the impact of long-range planning, and the introduction of new programs and
strategies. They will work closely with the Board of Directors to successfully fulfill its
governance function through accurate and timely reporting, financial stewardship, program
growth and sustainment, adequate and effective communication, and adherence first and
foremost to the mission of 757swim.

to ensure consistency in program delivery capabilities and expectations

Develop and provide operational strategic recommendations to the BOD on personnel
resource and infrastructure analysis and projections

Engage senior leaders for research, evaluation, and development training to facilitate
cross-department collaboration that ensures that all financial, program, and facility
needs are met

Assure that the organization and its mission is consistently presented in a strong,
positive manner to all relevant stakeholders

Collaborate with the BOD and Community partners on new funding opportunities.

Participate in meetings, the development of budgets, and roll out of partnerships
Responsible for coaching an age group or senior level practice group

Maintain a positive practice and meet environment

Follow USA Swimming policies, including Safe Sport, and maintain current credentials

Provides direct supervision to the Head Coach and Director of Operations

Provides indirect supervision to all other support staff

Work onsite and keep regular business hours to maintain connection to the staff and facility

Education and/or Experience:
10 years of professional experience required, to include familiarity with USA Swimming

10 years of coaching experience required

Job Summary

Candidate should be available 5-6 days a week in the evenings for practice and a few hours during the day for administrative duties

Club attends meets frequently which will require assistance in running of while athletes are not participating. Club averages 2 meet every month.

Qualifications/expectations:
Candidates must be a USA Swimming coach in good standing as well as a minimum of 3 years competitive coaching experience. Ability to work late afternoons and early evenings is a must. Experience using Teamunify and Meet Manager is preferred. This position must obtain necessary certifications: coaches safety training, CPR & First Aid, background check, and athlete protection training prior to start date. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for the sport of swimming, be team-oriented, a good communicator, positive, and energetic.
