The Opportunity
757swim is currently seeking an Executive Director to join our team. The Executive Director
(ED) reports directly to the Board of Directors (BOD) and is subject to the organization’s official
bylaws. The ED will build and grow a culture of excellence for 757swim, providing strategic
direction and daily operational oversight to all senior staff ensuring the achievement of the
organization’s mission, as well as the annual goals and objectives. The ED will also have the
experience and ability to contribute as a coach to support group practice needs. The ED will

Responsible for coaching an age group or senior level practice group

Qualifications/expectations:
Candidates must be a USA Swimming coach in good standing as well as a minimum of 3 years competitive coaching experience. Ability to work late afternoons and early evenings is a must. Experience using Teamunify and Meet Manager is preferred. This position must obtain necessary certifications: coaches safety training, CPR & First Aid, background check, and athlete protection training prior to start date. Swim BC is the Provincial Sport Organization and governing body for competitive swimming in British Columbia. Swim BC provides a diversity of member services and sport governance to over 70 clubs and four university teams, including competitive swimmers that train in each region of the province. About the Role

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director is responsible for the overall strategic and operational leadership of this member-driven, non-profit organization. The Executive Director oversees the delivery of Swim BC vision, mission, values and strategic priorities through the development and delivery of member programs and services, financial sustainability, fund development, operations, and advancing relationships with funders, government, volunteers, and community partners. The Executive Director promotes, directs, and fosters the art and science of swimming in BC.

The Executive Director collaborates closely with the Board to advance the Strategic Plan while guiding the organization in the development of current and future plans, policies, goals, objectives, and evaluation measures. They lead the continuous assessment, evolution, and delivery of programs and services, ensuring the organization’s capacity aligns with the changing needs of members and the sector. A key part of the role involves increasing community engagement and raising the organization’s profile to foster collaborative relationships, partnerships, and new opportunities. The Executive Director is also responsible for maintaining existing funding sources while identifying new opportunities to support organizational growth. Additionally, they are committed to building and leading a culture of team well-being, empowering success, and nurturing a positive, supportive workplace environment.

The salary for this position is $125,000-$150,000 supplemented by a total compensation plan.

Full Time Assistant Coach / Office Administrator

Clovis Swim Club and Clovis Unified School District is seeking an enthusiastic and organized full-time coach with the proficiency to direct and lead our senior and/or top age-group swimmers.  This coach will split time on deck and in the Aquatics office in a role that includes:  customer service, staff leadership, and office administration.

Responsibilities:

• Lead coach for one group and potentially assist another, approximately 15 hours per week.
• Office administrative duties: answering phone messages and email, approximately 12 hours per week.
• Lead our lifeguard training and manage lifeguard personnel, seasonally 4-6 hours per week.
• Lead summer league coaches training/mentorship and assist as a meet director for up to 4 summer league meets per year, seasonally 7-8 hours per week.
• Lead athlete (age group and senior) social activities (1-2 per season).

• Attend 1-2 swim meets per month.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3+ years competitive coaching with age group or senior level swimmers.

• Must be able to manage, inspire, and engage with 20+ swimmers in a training group.  Should be able to show a proven record with regard to athlete retention and team growth.

• Must be able to initiate and maintain athlete and parent communication regarding commitment and development from the age group through the senior and national levels of competition.

• Must be able to foster a dynamic environment of excellence in swimming through drills, dryland, training, and racing.
• Must have certification to instruct lifeguard training or be willing to gain certification to instruct.  Prior experience in lifeguard management or direction is a plus.
• Must have experience with any/all of the following programs: Hy-Tek/Active.net Software, Team Unify, or Captyn.  Training in Excel is a plus.
• Must have exceptional customer service skills and phone etiquette.

Compensation: Approximately $40,000 salary.  (Other means of income are available, such as swim lessons and possible opportunities to coach at the High School and College level)

USA Swimming membership and professional (certification) costs are covered by the club.  Clovis Swim Club has a broad budget for continuing education for all of our staff.

• Develop and implement seasonal, weekly, and daily training plans for the group
• Teach and train swimmers in proper stroke techniques and racing strategies as appropriate for the age and developmental level of the group
• Develop and maintain healthy relationships with the swimmers, their parents, and other coaching staff
• Attend daily workouts
• Participate fully in group practices and activities
• Assist other coaches as needed and communicate regularly with other coaches.

Aquatics Director – Country Club

The 2025 season runs from May 20th to September 7th.

POSITION OVERVIEW:           Organizes and direct a program of club pool activities, events, tournaments. and lessons.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Organizes and administers inter- and intra-club swim meets and events, including scheduling individual participants, recording starting times, and distributing awards.
• Develops and implements Pool Safety Program.
• Administers and enforces club pool policies and procedures regarding safety of the pool and immediate area.
• Reads line-up cards at swim meets and events.
• Ensures that all club members and guests receive courteous, prompt, and professional attention to all their needs in the pool area.
• Arranges for uniforms for PRC swim team members.
• Assists with pool opening and closing during the season.
• Ensures that all mechanical equipment is in working order and that the pool has the proper chemical balance.
• Coordinates maintenance, repairs, and cleaning of pool area with grounds and maintenance departments.
• Select and supervise all pool staff.
• Maintain and update Lifeguarding manual.
• Maintains presence during special pool and beach events.
• Bills all sales into POS system.
• Approves all payroll and leave management of lifeguard staff.
• Arranges Sports Group Swim program and manages the Buddy System.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience as a supervisory Lifeguard in a commercial establishment.
• Active certification as a lifeguard with the Nassau County Department of Health.
• Maintain certification as Lifeguard Manager with American Red Cross or similar.
• Maintain certification as Water Safety Instructor with American Red Cross or similar.
• Maintain certification as a Certified Pool Operator with experience in water level testing.
