Job Description:
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Learn to Swim / Age Group Swim Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in competitive swimming and coaching, as well as a genuine enthusiasm for teaching and inspiring young athletes.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead engaging and effective swim lessons for beginners and intermediate swimmers in our Learn to Swim program.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate training programs for age group swimmers, focusing on stroke technique, endurance, and competitive skills.
- Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to swimmers to help them reach their goals and maximize their potential.
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff members to ensure a cohesive and positive team environment.
- Communicate regularly with swimmers and their families to provide updates on progress, upcoming events, and any changes to the schedule.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a swim coach or instructor, preferably in a competitive swim club setting.
- Strong knowledge of swimming techniques, training methodologies, and age group development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire swimmers of all ages.
- Current lifeguard certification and CPR/First Aid certification (preferred but not required).
- Willingness to undergo background checks and complete necessary training requirements.
