Jamilah Hepburn has announced her commitment to swim at Division II Stonehill College beginning in the fall.

studies and swim at Stonehill College. I would like to thank all of my

Hepburn is a native of Nassau in the Bahamas and recently graduated from AESA Prep International. At the club level, Hepburn competes for Mako Aquatics Club, and she has also represented the Bahamas internationally on several occasions. Her most recent international competition came at the 2019 Central American and Caribbean (CCCAN) Swimming Championships, where Hepburn was a finalist in the 50, 100, and 200 breaststroke events. At the meet, Hepburn’s highest finish came in the 50 breaststroke, where she finished 4th overall (35.61).

Hepburn will be a valuable addition to an upcoming Stonehill team, which was only created last season. Both of Hepburn’s converted times fall under the current Stonehill team records that are held by rising sophomore Maddie Conley.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Stonehill has not competed at a conference championship meet yet. However, at the 2020 NE-10 Championships, Hepburn would have made the A-final in both the 100 and 200 breaststroke with her converted times. With that ranking, Hepburn should also be a valuable addition to Stonehill’s 200 and 400 medley relays.
With her commitment, Hepburn is set to join Sofiya Gobora in Stonehill’s class of 2025.
