Introducing The Definitive Tokyo Olympic Swimming Guide By Swimming Stats

This is an ad-free, one-off, 170-page editorial guide.

Swimming Stats and SwimSwam are proud to present our definitive Tokyo 2021 Olympic Guide, which will provide all of the information you need to follow along with the swimming events at the upcoming Olympic Games.

The guide has been in development over the past few months, and we can assure you that there’s nothing out there quite like this in the sport. This tool is invaluable for global media who will be covering the swimming portion of the upcoming Olympic Games.

As we’ve noticed growing interest in swimming statistics, projections, historical rankings and records via the Swimming Stats by SwimSwam Instagram page, this guide will be an indispensable tool for your use as the swimming events unfold in Tokyo, beginning July 23.

Inside the guide you will find detailed stats about Olympic swimming history, along with the top 16 athlete profiles in each event—including open water events—as well as historical rankings and records, all-time tables, trivia, etc. Each event is covered in 3-4 pages, with the guide totalling 170 pages.

It is highly recommended for those who will be working on Olympic coverage (press, media, commentators, coaches etc.), as well as for swimming nerds around the world.

This is a result of years of hard work and dedication. Most of the data and information available in this guide is not accessible anywhere else. It is a truly prime product like none other in swimming market.

The guide can be yours for a one-time payment of $199 (USD). You can buy the guide here.

This editorial guide is designed for media outlets (who need to cover the OGs well, but only do it once every 4 years), coaches, and swim data people who invest in this level of research. Your predictions are wrong. It is selling because it is designed for their needs.

During the marijuana thread a few days ago, one commenter named “Olympian” stated that he smokes a lot of pot and it has had no impact on his cognitive abilities. Was that you, Mel?

If you follow the boards, you’d know “Olympian” is a woman and not North American…

I suspect part of the confusion here is that people are very familiar with what you are describing – media guides – for other teams and sports outside of swimming – contain incredibly detailed history, stats etc. And those historically also have been marketed to fans at a more accessible price point (at least a decimal point less). Hope you do well with this for the intended audience. I consider myself a hard core swim nerd and think it sounds cool but it is not close to a price I’d go for. But apparently that’s not a concern.

If you do that we’ll be listening to him talk about reaction times every heat for 9 days

I can definitely respect the idea and effort put into it but $200 seems kinda wild.

I’ve read this group in the comments before. If it was $20 you would say it should be $10. If it was $10 you would say it should be $5. If it was $5 you would say you cut the chord and ask if anyone has a free copy to send. And then when you got the free copy you would complain about the ads on it.

I work for a production group in another country, and we bought a license. I can tell you from our perspective, it’s a huge bargain compared to what we have paid to put together our own guides in other sports. I think it is meant for professionals, and the rest who don’t want… Read more »

Actually ‘Bob’ if it WAS $20 USD, I would have already purchased it – @ $199? I’ll have to take a pass.

Whoops I thought you were in charge of Swimming Stats, my b. Would you be able to point me to the person for whom I may be able to purchase a sandwich in exchange for a copy?

they should give a sample page of a swimmer so we know what content we will be getting

…as mentioned above this is for media covering the OGs, coaches and hardcore swim nerds. During the OGs we’re overwhelmed with questions and requests for help–often from media that only covers swimming once every 4 years. This answers all of their questions in one place, covering everything in 170 pages, ad-free, no images, just hardcore info & data.

I realize there are no images, but that doesn’t necessarily mean I can’t buy this, print out a hard copy, and then decorate it with cut out pictures of you, Braden, Jared, and Coleman, right?

…..ahhh, yeah, you could (this made me smile…)

Totally, who knows – an investment today 0f 200USD, maybe worth millions decades from now based on the philosophy of data is the new oil.

Maaaan, I live in an Eastern European country where average monthly income is slightly higher than the price of this e-book. As one of the first followers of SwimStats I’m pretty sure the material is great and unique… but $200… Come on 🙁

As a swim nerd, I would consider buying this if I got free annual updates for the next 5 years.
