The University of Indianapolis, also known as Indy, downed a seven-year-old Division II record in the women’s 200 medley relay last night.

The squad of Julia Magierowska, Megan Gregory, Andrea Paaske, and Kirabo Namutebi put together a thrilling race for a final time of 1:38.30. The previous all-time best stood at 1:38.49, set by Queens University the 2018 Bluegrass Mountain conference championships.

Runner-ups Nova S’Eastern, who led for most of the race, also got under the old record, clocking a time of 1:38.44.

Split Comparison

Indy (2025 NCAA) Nova S’Eastern (2025 NCAA) Queens (2018 Mountain Bluegrass)

Total Time 1:38.30 1:38.44 1:38.49

The key leg for the Greyhounds securing the win and the record was Namutebi on the anchor. The Ugandan national teamer registered the only sub-22 in the field and nearly a half second faster than Queens’ 2018 anchor. It’s also .57 under the 22.26 she went in the individual 50 to get second place earlier in the night.

Apart from Namutebi, who is a sophomore, the rest of Indy’s relay team are in their final year of competition. The Lady Greyhounds sit third in the team standings after the first day. They’ll compete in the 400 medley relay today, an event for which they’re seeded second.
