2024 U.S. Olympic trials ke women’s 100 butterfly ke semi-finals mein, Walsh ne 55.18 ka time dala, aur Swedish swimmer Sarah Sjostrom ka previous world record time 55.48 jo 2016 Rio Olympics se tha, usse tod diya. Usne apne prelims time 55.94 se bhi 0.76 seconds kam kar diya, jo usse pehle sixth-fastest performer of all-time banata tha. Is meet se pehle, Walsh ka best time 56.18 tha jo San Antonio Pro Swim Series mein April 2024 mein tha.
