Kevin Donaldson announced in August his commitment to swim and study at Miami University (Ohio) beginning for the 2022-2023 academic year.

Donaldson swims for Seneca Valley Swim Club out of Evans City, Pennsylvania. This summer, Donaldson competed at Richmond Futures where he set long course best times in the 100 (53.31) and 200 (1:56.58) freestyles as well as the 100 backstroke (1:01.80). He finished 32nd in the 100 and 21st in the 200 freestyles.
Donaldson will enter his senior year this fall at Seneca Valley Senior High School in Harmony, PA. In March, he earned best times while at the PIAA 3A (big schools) Boys State Championships in the 50 (21.55) and 100 (46.40) freestyles. He finished 11th in the 100 freestyle and 9th in the 200 freestyle.
His best short course times are:
- 50 freestyle: 21.55
- 100 freestyle: 46.40
- 200 freestyle: 1:41.66
- 100 backstroke: 51.94
- 200 backstroke: 1:55.88
Miami University is a public university located in Oxford, Ohio. The school is a member of the Mid-American Conference (MAC).
The Miami men captured the conference title at the 2021 MAC Championships. Based on his best times, Donaldson has the potential to score in the B final of the 100 and 200 backstrokes as well as the 200 freestyle.
Donaldson will arrive on campus next fall as a member of the class of 2026 along with Aaron Black, Ben Eichberg, Evan Kindseth, and Maguire Sheppard.
