Former CA High School Swim Coach Arrested On Sexual Misconduct Charges

A former high school teacher and swim coach in Morro Bay, California has been arrested on suspicion of sexual misconduct, local media report.

Tyler Andree was a teacher and swim coach at Morro Bay High School in Morro Bay, California. The San Luis Obispo Tribune reports that Andree was arrested last week and is suspected of having sex with a minor. Andree, 24, was the varsity girls swim coach.

According to The San Luis Obispo Tribune, Andree resigned suddenly last month amid an investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct. His resignation came on January 18, about a week into the police investigation.

An anonymous tip in January led to a three-week investigation. That culminated Andree’s arrest, announced by the Morro Bay Police Department on Monday, February 8. Andree is accused of having sex with a student and soliciting another minor, per the police department.

He was booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail and was held on $30,000 bail.
