Washington, D.C. – (May 8, 2025) – The Atlantic 10 Conference announced its 2025 Postgraduate Scholarship recipients this afternoon with swimmer Luisa Rosa (Minas Gerais, Brazil) being Fordham’s honoree.
Rosa is currently in graduate school, studying Data Science and Economics. She graduated from Fordham in May 2024 Summa Cum Laude with her undergraduate degree in Computer Science with a minor in Business Administration. She received the Herbert W. Bomzer Award in Computer and Information Sciences. The award was established to honor the memory of the founding chair and given to the graduating seniors who have shown excellence and promise in their respective disciplines of Computer Science and Information Science.
A former team captain, she spent five seasons with the Fordham swimming & diving program, competing at four Atlantic 10 Championships in the distance freestyle and butterfly events. A two-time CSC Academic All-District selection, Rosa is also a four-year member of the Atlantic 10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll and the Dean’s List at Fordham.
This past season, she set personal-best times in the 100 freestyle and 100 butterfly events.
Rosa plans to apply advanced analytics and data-driven strategies to tackle real world challenges in business and technology.
