BOCA RATON, Fla. (Dec. 20, 2023)— Competing outdoors for the first time this season, the UIC swimming and diving team had a strong performance in Wednesday’s meet at Florida Atlantic University’s Aquatic Center Wednesday afternoon. The Flames competed against host FAU, Old Dominion and Rice in the program’s final competition of the calendar year.
Wednesday’s competition did not feature team scoring and focused instead on the spirit of fun competition and student-athletes having the opportunity to compete, and improve, in the pool.

COMMENT FROM HEAD COACH ASHLEY DELL
“Today was a lot of fun. The weather conditions weren’t ideal and it is always tough to compete in the middle of winter training but I’m proud of the way team handled it and had some fun.”

COMMENT FROM ASSOCIATE HEAD COACH/DIVING COACH SUSAN BROMBERG
“I thought that overall our divers did well. It’s been over five weeks since their last competition and they have been training hard. To have this opportunity to compete while we were in Florida was great.”
