PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel women’s swimming and diving team took care of Arcadia, 128-20 to 5-1 on the season.
Drexel recognized four women senior swimmers before the meet today: Aldercy Bui, Elizabeth McDevitt, Federica Nocera and Ellie Webb.
The 200-yard medley relay team of Hannah Charters, Mary Kubiak, Abby Zane, and Audrey Le-Nguyen opened the meet with a win in 1:50.49. Harper Barrowman took first in the 100-yard butterfly (1:00.29), while Kubiak added another victory in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:10.01). Megan Ehrnfeldt sprinted to first in the 50-yard freestyle (24.21), and Jessie Rothrock secured the 100-yard IM title in 1:01.14. Mari Alencar won the 200-yard freestyle (1:58.54), while Federica Nocera dominated the 100-yard backstroke (55.79). In the 200-yard freestyle relay, Skye Bilger, Clare Schwartz, Audrey Le-Nguyen, and Charters finished first with a time of 1:38.91.
200-yard medley relay of Delaney Leonard, Hannah Carmen, Megan Ehrnfeldt, and Olivia Scherbin placed second in 1:50.51. Leonard also secured second in the 100-yard butterfly (1:00.45), while Abby Zane finished runner-up in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:11.78). Clare Schwartz placed second in the 50-yard freestyle (24.98), and Emma Pillich took second in the 100-yard IM (1:01.92). Other second-place performances included Hannah Charters in the 200-yard freestyle (1:59.14), Elizabeth McDevitt in the 100-yard backstroke (1:02.45), and the 200-yard freestyle relay team of Aldercy Bui, McDevitt, Nocera, and Ellie Webb (1:40.73).Barrowman finished third in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:55.15. Elizabeth McDevitt placed third in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:09.52 and the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 57.60. Bragg finished third in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:25.63. Corbett placed third in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:05.97.
Drexel continued its success with several third-place finishes. The 200-yard medley relay team of Aldercy Bui, Federica Nocera, Elizabeth McDevitt, and Ellie Webb finished third in 1:51.64. Hannah Carmen took third in the 100-yard butterfly (1:02.59), while Ali Bragg finished third in the 100-yard IM (1:03.05). Olivia Scherbin placed third in the 200-yard freestyle (2:02.83), and Skye Bilger earned third in the 100-yard backstroke (1:03.71). The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Brittany Corbett, Pillich, Barrowman, and Ehrnfeldt also finished third in 1:41.68.
The Dragons will finish the regular season at Monmouth on February 8th.

PHILADELPHIA- The Drexel men’s swimming and diving team defeated Arcadia 126-22. The Dragons move to 8-0 on the season.
Today Drexel recognized four male swimmers before the match today: Alessio Gianni, Eli Kofman, Tommy Pennimpede and Nathan Piccolo.
In the 200-yard medley relay team of Theo Andreopoulos, Alex Blacker, Mohammed ElTayeb, and Reds Rullis kicked off the meet with a victory in 1:33.00. Rullis also claimed first in the 100-yard butterfly (52.11), while Sebastian Smith took the 100-yard breaststroke (57.06). Colton Wade took first in the 50-yard freestyle (21.45), and Petar Pavalic won the 100-yard IM (53.62). Kaan Akdag dominated the 200-yard freestyle (1:47.73), and Eli Kofman secured first in the 100-yard backstroke (55.61). The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Bartosz Loter, ElTayeb, Akdag, and Andreopoulos hit the wall at 1:24.95.
Drexel also secured multiple second-place finishes. The 200-yard medley relay of Sebastian Smith, Justin Sere, Youssef Bahgat, and Dimi Gkelis placed second (1:35.12). Theo Andreopoulos finished runner-up in the 100-yard butterfly (53.55), while Nate Piccolo placed second in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:01.63). Kacper Karnik took second in the 50-yard freestyle (21.60), and Tommy Pennimpede finished second in the 100-yard IM (53.89). Other second-place finishes included Dimi Gkelis in the 200-yard freestyle (1:48.83), Andrea Casini in the 100-yard backstroke (55.84), and the 200-yard freestyle relay team of Alessio Gianni, Kofman, Pennimpede, and Piccolo (1:26.95).
The 200-yard medley relay team of Tommy Pennimpede, Eli Kofman, Alessio Gianni, and Nathan Piccolo took third (1:35.13). Bartosz Loter placed third in the 100-yard butterfly (54.55), Grady Potter finished third in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:07.79), and Justin Sere took third in the 50-yard freestyle (21.97). Additional third-place finishes included Youssef Bahgat in the 100-yard IM (55.67) and the 200-yard freestyle relay team of Sere, Blacker, Potter, and Smith (1:27.15).
The Dragons will finish the regular season at Monmouth on February 8th.

HOW IT HAPPENED
– Katherine Pastva earned third-place in the 100-yd breaststroke, finishing .06 before a Drexel swimmer. She recorded a personal best time of 1:13.84.
– Mikayla Scardino beat Drexel’s Brittany Corbett by .90 for third place in the 50-yd freestyle (25.67).
– Kylie Perry recorded a lifetime best 100-yd individual medley time of 1:12.35.
– Lily Stauffer earned a career best time of 1:09.51 in the 100-yd backstroke, dropping 6.69 seconds off of her previous best time.

HOW IT HAPPENED
– Braeden Wolf beat out Drexel’s Alex Blacker in the 200-yd freestyle with a time of 1:52.49 earning third place.
– Johnny Pierce recorded a season best 100-yd breaststroke time of 1:15.11, cutting 1.88 off of his time against Kean earlier this season.
– Matthew Drake earned a career best time in the 100-yd individual medley (IM) with a time of 56.45.
– Mikalai Yakhimchyk also recorded a personal best time in the 100-yd IM (1:03.14).
– Roman Diakun swam a lifetime best 1:03.21 in the 100-yd IM.
– Jordan Green finished third in the 100-yd backstroke with a time of 1:05.57.
