ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. — The Cornell women’s swim and dive team moved to 2-0 after soundly defeating St. Bonaventure, 144-90. Cornell tallied nine first place finishers, including three 1-2-3 finishes on the day.
Elise Jendritz is continuing to rewrite the Cornell record books in her senior season. She scored 271.05 in the 1m dive and 300.45 in the 3m dive. Each score was good for the second best in Cornell history. Jendritz also now owns the title for first and second highest dive score in Cornell history since the dive rule change from 11 to 6 in 2001 following her score of over 274 against Binghamton yesterday.
The 1-2-3 finishes came in the 1000 yard Freestyle from swimmers Allie Danko (10:45.72), Jungmin Yoon (11:00.27), and Lexie Vanderloo (11:09.33); the 500 yard Freestyle by swimmers Melissa Parker (5:14.76), Danko (5:18.10), and Yoon (5:18.87); and the 200 yard Breaststroke by swimmers Amy Wu (2:23.96), Audrey Holden (2:24.96), and Quinn Rinkus (2:29.96).
The 200 yard Medley Relay team on Aviva Munoz, Emilie Boisrenoult, Kate Li, and Tori Zhang finished atop the podium in the first swimming event of the day with a time of 1:47.94. Li was also the first place finisher in the 200 yard Freestyle (1:54.70) while Boisrenoult went on to win the 100 yard Freestyle with a time of 51.53.
The final Big Red finish atop the podium was from Priscilla Wongso, who swam the 50 yard Freestyle in 23.90 seconds.
On the Horizon
The Big Red are back to the waters next weekend when it opens Ivy play at Dartmouth against the Big Green and Harvard in the first multi-team meet of the season for Cornell.
ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. — Cornell men’s swim and dive earn its second win of the season, defeating St. Bonaventure 148-95. The Big Red finish in 1-2-3 fashion in the 200 Yard Medley Relay.
Logan Holt, Sebastian Wolff, Joseph Gurski, and Tanner Will ended the relay in first place with their time of 1:32.13. The next Big Red relay finished just over one second later. Paige Dacosta, Jacob Bass, Jeremy Marcin, and Jack Banks finished in 1:33.86. To complete the 1-2-3 for Cornell, Taylan Ercan, Jack Casey, Andrew Lin, and Mac March finished with a time of 1:37.10.
The Big Red also had the top two finishers in the 3m Dive. Matthew Warren earned a score of 319.35 and Soondong Kim finished right behind him with a score of 314.70.
Wolff secured a first place finish in the 50 Yard Freestyle with his score of 21.21. The top three in the 50 Yard Freestyle all finished within one second of each other in bang-bang fashion, with a Bonnie swimmer finishing between Wolff and Bailey, who finished at 21.70.
Wolff notched his second, individual first place finish in the 100 Yard Freestyle, ending with. a score of 46.75.
The Big Red saw four other individual first place finishes throughout the day. Bass earned the top spot in the 200 Yard Breaststroke with a time of 2:09.06. Joseph Gurski touched the wall in a time of 1:51.40 to seal first place in the 200 Yard Butterfly. Pietro Ubertalli added to the Big Red’s points with his top time of 1:51.07 in the 200 Yard Backstroke. Chris Kostelni rounded out the first place winners for Cornell in the 500 Yard Freestyle with his 4:46.44 time.
The Big Red had the top two relays in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay with Will Taner, Daniel Simoes, Jack Banks, and Dominic Edwards ending with a time of 1:25.81. Cornell’s next relay, made up of Jeremy Marcin, Logan Holt, Pearce Bailey, and Kyle Pro touched the edge less than a second behind them with their time of 1:26.17.
On the Horizon
The Big Red head to Dartmouth for their first multi-team meet of the season with Dartmouth and Harvard on Friday, Nov. 11.

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y.—The St. Bonaventure women’s swimming and diving team took to their home pool for the first time this season on Saturday afternoon, falling to Cornell 144-90.
The meet was the team’s “Pink Meet” raising awareness for breast cancer research with proceeds going to the Pink Pumpkin Project in Olean.
The afternoon’s excitement kicked off in the 200-yard freestyle with Ellie Kraus taking second place, only three-hundredths of a second out of first, with a time of 1:54.73. Kathryn Beyer was not far behind in third with a time of 1:55.73.
Halle Myers time of 23.97 was good enough to earn the sophomore a second-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle.
Silvana Cabrera earned the first Bonnies’ victory of the day in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:10.92. Cabrera then followed it up with a victory in the 200-yard butterfly, touching the wall in 2:07.99.
The Brown and White took the top two spots in the 200-yard backstroke. Allison Lenda’s time of 2:09.17 was good enough to edge out Beyer by five-hundredths of a second in the event.
The final Bona’s victory of the day came from the 200-yard freestyle relay team of Myers, Kraus, Rylie Foley and Amy O’Rourke, with a time of 1:36.88.
In diving action Mary Wilson finished with scores of 182.03 and 193.20 in the one- and three-meter dive respectively.
The Bonnies are next in action at the Cleveland State Invitational spanning Nov. 17-19.

T. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure University men’s swimming and diving team secured four event victories in a hard-fought battle against Cornell Saturday afternoon at the Reilly Center Pool.
Cornell picked up the dual meet victory, 148-95.
Prior to and during the meet, both the men’s and women’s teams sold pink gear to promote breast cancer awareness. All proceeds from the gear is being donated to the Pink Pumpkin Project in Olean.
To start off the meet, Bonnies junior diver Lucas Dekaney was victorious in the 1-meter dive with a score of 284.78, while freshman Ben Giera scored 281.18 for a second-place finish.
Giera registered a third-place finish in the 3-meter dive (295.95).
Freshman Mikolaj Synowiec secured the first event victory Saturday afternoon for the Bonnies.
In the 1000-freestyle, Synowiec swam a time of 9:50.76 to claim the win. Fellow freshman Will Foggin finished third (10:20.90).
The first-year swimmer nearly pulled off his second victory of the afternoon in the 500-freestyle. He placed second with a time of 4:46.64, two-tenths of a second behind the winner.
St. Bonaventure notched another event victory, thanks to sophomore Alexander Behr who swam a time of 1:42.04 in the 200-freestyle. Tomas Botero placed third in this event (1:45.25).
Senior Nicholas Nakaya claimed a victory for the Brown and White in the 200-IM, touching the wall in a time of 1:56.38.
Nakaya touched the wall in a time of 2:11.21 to place second in the 200-breaststroke.
Junior Kyle Gluck picked a pair of second place finished in the 50-freestyle (21.47) and 100-freestyle (47.26), while freshman Henry Wilkes placed second in the 200-backstroke (1:54.06).
In the 200-backstroke Luigi Termine delivered a third-place finish, touching the wall in a time of 1:54.48.
St. Bonaventure concluded the meet with a third-place finish with a time of 1:26.51 from the 200-freestyle relay team of Gluck, Nicholas Torre, Patrick Heldreth, and Zachary Titus.
The Bonnies will once against compete in an invitational at Cleveland State on Thursday, Nov. 17 to Saturday, Nov. 19. The three-day meet is scheduled to start at 9:00 a.m. each day.
