Brendan Hansen wins OT 100 Breast for the 3rd time
Brendan Hansen is proud of himself for doing what he set out to do.
Some of your oldest competitors now are in Breaststroke. In the past women’s breaststroke was thought as sometimes a teenage event. Amanda Beard at 15 and Megan Qunice at 16 years old. But both male and female breaststrokers are more likey to include post-college swimmers than in the past. Breastroke is timing and once you go thru the body changes and adjust your timing you can swim it almost any age.
Us is a big country that why there are more competitors but Japan and China are the best of the asian countries. US is now about 6 percent asian and the asian swimmers in the US some have made the Semi finals. Breaststroke is a event where height is not important since you have in the case of Hansen closer to average height and size.
MX , Us trials are harder in all races than Japan trials ! that’s what he means …..
I think he meant in general.
branden did a great job within one year ! He deserves that win ! happy for Shanteau as well .
Japan trials (59.6 for 2nd) were harder than US (1.00.15 for 2nd) not sure what hes talking about
