Boise State Broncos Pick up Two Verbals

Boise State picked up two verbal commitments for their Women’s Team.  Emma Chard and Morgan McClure both announced their verbal commitment to the Broncos.

Chard swims out of Tacoma, Washington for the Tacoma Swim Club.  She is a sprint freestyler/breaststroker.  She will look to add depth to the Broncos sprint core as well as provide some support to the breastroke group of which she will enter with top-5 times on the team in all.  Her best times are 24.11/51.39/1:52.29 in the 50-200 freestyle and 1:04.86/2:24.46 in the 100 and 200 breaststroke.

McClure swims for Spare Time Aquatics in Sacramento, California.  She is a well rounded swimmer that is strong in all disciplines from the 50-200 distances and the 400 IM.  She may gain a specific focus in college but for now her all-around talent is a plus.  Her freestyles are 24.31/52.54/1:57.56 from 50-200, her 100 and 200 backstrokes are 57.58/2:04.70, her 100 and butterfly is a 57.70 and her 200 and 400 IM’s are 2:05.85 and 4:39.47.

McClure on why she chose Boise State:

I felt like Boise was a place where I can continue to progress and keep the love of the sport. I felt so comfortable on the campus and the team is absolutely amazing! I feel like the coaching staff really knows what they are doing and they really care for the girls. I knew right away that I was going to be a Bronco!
