For the first time, fans will be able to follow their swimming heroes live on their digital devices with Network Ten’s industry-leading digital platform, tenplay, set to live-stream all the finals action each night of the 2015 Hancock Prospecting Australian Swimming Championships.
Ten Sport’s Mel McLaughlin and Lachy Reid, along with expert commentator Nicole Livingstone, will bring viewers all the action each night from 6.30pm AEST on tenplay and later on ONE, as the nation’s best swimmers secure their spots on the team for the upcoming FINA World Championships.
“We are excited for Network Ten to bring a new element of digital broadcast to the Hancock Prospecting Australian Swimming Championships,” Swimming Australia CEO Mark Anderson said.
“More and more people are using digital devices to watch sport now and it’s great that no matter where you are in Australia, you can tune in to see the swimmers race for a spot on the Australian Dolphins Swim Team.
“Network Ten have been a great supporter of Australian swimming and to have both a televised and live-stream option for the finals of this important selection event is a great step forward into the digital space for the sport,” Anderson said.
Swimming fans all over the country will be able to tune in as James Magnussen and Cameron McEvoy look to settle the score in the men’s 100m freestyle and Cate and Bronte Campbell battle for sibling supremacy in the sprint freestyle events.
The Australian public will be able to see Commonwealth Games and Pan Pacific Champion Emily Seebohm as she chases her eighth Australian title in the 100m backstroke and Commonwealth Games and World Short Course Champion Mitch Larkin in action the corresponding men’s event.
Seven years after his last Australian Championships, Grant Hackett will make a return to racing and to television screens around the country, where he will face the likes of rising stars Thomas Fraser-Holmes, David McKeon and Mack Horton.
In addition to being able to view the finals on smart phones, tablets, computers and other digital devices, all the action will also be telecast on ONE. See full schedule below.

I’m in Italy, is there a way to see the streaming?
Now all I need to do is translate their time to Pacific Standard Time and then hope we can get the live stream. I hope so. I do NOT want to have to wait a couple more months for the Arizona Grand Prix meet!
You may want to set your VPN location to Australia, if the normal streaming broadcast practice apply.
It’s a 17 hour time difference, I think. (AEST to PST) Daylight savings ends in Sydney on Easter.
The app won’t download from iTunes store because I’m set to US. (I’ll set to Australia and see the results, I can make up an Australian account.) Ten and One have been blocking non-Aussie access online for years. 🙁
I believe the streams will be taking place at (in PDT):
April 3rd – 12:30 am
April 4th – 12:30 am
Daylight Savings time ends (3 am goes back to 2 am) on April 5th.
April 5th – 1:40 am
April 6th – 1:30 am
April 7th – 1:40 am
April 8th – 1:30 am
April 9th – 1:40 am
April 10th – 1:40 am
