Austin Daniel to Remain In State to Swim for Georgia Tech in 2017-18

Austin Daniel has committed to swim for Georgia Institute of Technology beginning in the fall of 2017. Daniel is a senior at Cambridge High School in Milton, Georgia. He finaled in both the 100 free (8th) and 200 free (10th) at the 2017 GHSA 6-7 A State Swimming & Diving Meet and led off both Cambridge’s free relays.

In club swimming, Daniel represents SwimAtlanta. He was a finalist in the 50 free, 100 free, and 100 back at the 2017 American Short Course in San Antonio in March, earning new best times in all three events.

His top SCY times are:

  • 100 back – 48.47
  • 50 free – 21.26
  • 100 free – 45.88
  • 200 free – 1:41.04

Daniel will join fellow Georgia Tech commits Caio Pumputis, Corben Miles, Franco Reyes, Jeffrey Murray , Jonathan Vater, and Jonathan Yang in the class of 2021.
