Lane 1 –Canada: Blake Tierney, Finlay Knox, Ilya Kharun, Josh Liendo

Josh Liendo, silver in the 100 fly, will swim the free instead, an event in which he placed 13th.

Lane 2 – Great Britain: Oliver Morgan, Adam Peaty, Duncan Scott, Matt Richards

Like in the mixed medley,  silver medalist in the 200 IM, Duncan Scott, will tackle the fly leg for the Brits.

Lane 3 – USA: Ryan MurphyNic Fink, Caeleb Dressel, Hunter Armstong

The USA appears to have made a full change, but in fact, there are only three new legs as Armstrong is flexed from the back to the free and will look to replicate his 46.75 split from the men’s 4×100 free relay.

Lane 4 – France: Yohann Ndoye-BrouardLeon Marchand, Maxime Grousset, Florent Manaudou

France brings in the big guns for the last two legs. Grousset, who finished 5th in the 100 fly, jumps into his first relay, and Manaudou, the bronze medalist in the 50 free, will anchor.

Lane 5 – China : Xu JiayuQin Haiyang, Sun Jiajin Pan Zhanle

China swaps out Wang for Sun. Neither made the semis of the 100 fly, but Sun was 51.85 in the prelims to Wang’s 52.37.

Lane 6 – Netherlands: Kai van Westering, Caspar Corbeau, Nyls Korstanje, Stan Pijnenburg

The Dutch make no changes.

Lane 7 – Australia: Isaac Cooper, Joshua Yong, Matt Temple, Kyle Chalmers

Australia adds in Temple to take on the fly leg. Temple finished 7th in the final of the individual 100 and was a part of last night’s bronze-winning mixed medley.

Lane 8 – Germany: Ole Braunschweig, Melvin Imoudu, Luca Armbruster, Josha Salchow

Germany swaps out Lucas Matzerath for Imoudu on the breast as the latter was 59.11 in the final to the former’s 59.30

Dear Magic Man,

We’ve greatly enjoyed your shows over the past few years. And while your opening trick this week was fascinating, the middle of the show was lackluster and lost our attention.

For your closing act, will you show us something we’ve never seen before?

Sincerely,
Your Hopeful Fans

USA the favorites but will have close competition with China and France. Although I’m nervous that Pan will somehow pull another gear and go a 45 split 💀
