Japan’s Daiki Hashimoto Looking To Defend All-Around Gymnastics Title
Daiki Hashimoto won the individual all-around title in front of the home crowd in Tokyo and returns to the final here in Paris. Silver medalist Xiao Ruoteng of China also returns to the final and will look to stand on the podium again. Hashimoto already helped Japan to win the team all-around title while Xiao helped China to silver in the all-around event.
China Continues Quest For Diving Sweep
China won 7 out of 8 gold medals in diving in Tokyo and already have gone 2-for-2 in Paris. Today’s final is the women’s 10m synchro event. China will be represented by Chen Yuxi and Quan Hongchan. Chen Yuxi won gold in the event in Tokyo alongside partner Zhang Jiaqi.
Surfing Awarding Medals Today
Brazilian surfer Gabriel Medina has made headlines with his picture already and set an Olympic Record of a 9.90 in his 3rd round of qualifying. The sport is in its second edition of the Olympics.
