Illinois State Champ Noelle Peplowski Verbally Commits to Indiana for 2018-19

Noelle Peplowski, a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American from Metamora, Illinois, has made a verbal commitment to the Indiana University class of 2022. On her Instagram account, she wrote:

“So excited to say I have verbally committed to swim for Indiana University! Go Hoosiers! #GOIU #IURedRevolution ?⚪️”

Peplowski is winding up her junior year at Metamora High School. She is a versatile talent who, in three years of high school swimming, has competed at the Illinois state meet in the 100 breast (which she won as a freshman), 200 IM, and 500 free. She also swims year-round for Waves Bloomington/Normal Y S.T., with whom she competed at the 2016 Winter Junior Nationals East. Peplowski swam the 100 free, 100/200 breast, and 200 IM, and reached the B final in the 100 breast. Last summer she competed in the 100/200 breast and 200 IM at Summer Juniors; she was a C-finalist in both the 100 breast and 200 IM.

Peplowski’’s top SCY times include:

  • 100 breast – 1:01.47
  • 200 breast – 2:14.29
  • 200 IM – 2:01.53
  • 100 free – 50.78
  • 200 free – 1:49.94
  • 500 free – 4:51.13
