Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.
Sidney Stolle has announced her verbal commitment to swim and study at Drexel University, where she’ll join the team for the 2025-2026 season. Stolle, a freestyle and backstroke specialist, currently attends Maricopa High School in Maricopa, Arizona, and swims year-round with the Scottsdale Aquatic Club.
I am blessed to announce my verbal commitment to continue my athletic and academic career at Drexel University!! I would love to give special thanks to my family, especially my mom, who has been nothing but supportive on this journey. I truly couldn’t do any of this without her. Next I’d like to thank my former and current coaches Laura Logan, Scott Goodrich, and Bob Platt – forever grateful, Bob. They have all believed in me and encouraged me to be the swimmer and person that I am today. I am grateful for Coach Nathan and Erik for giving me this opportunity to compete for Drexel. Thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey. I cannot wait to start this next season of my life!
Stolle qualified for the 2024 Winter Junior Championships, where she swam the 100 free, 100 back, and 200 back. Her highest finish came in the 200 back, where she placed 84th overall. She closed out her short course season last month at the Arizona Senior State Championships in Mesa. Her top swim came in the 100 back, where she finished as the state runner-up.
The 18-year-old’s best event is arguably the 100 back, where her best time of 54.58 would’ve ranked her 2nd on Drexel’s roster this past season. Senior Federica Nocera was Drexel’s fastest swimmer in the event with her time of 54.24, which she clocked en route to bronze at the Coastal Athletic Association Championships in February. Stolle’s lifetime best would have placed 6th in that same race, meaning she will be an immediate ‘A’-final threat as a freshman.
Stolle’s career best of 2:00.32 in the 200 back would have earned her a swim in the ‘B’ final, with her 200 free (1:50.75) best also being quick enough for a ‘B’ final berth. Her bests in the 100 (51.20) and 500 (5:02.93) free events were also quick enough for ‘C’ final appearances.
Top SCY Times:
- 50 Freestyle: 24.06
- 100 Freestyle: 51.20
- 200 Freestyle: 1:50.75
- 500 Freestyle: 5:02.93
- 100 Backstroke: 54.58
- 200 Backstroke: 2:00.32
The Drexel Dragons placed 6th out of 9 teams at the 2025 Coastal Athletic Association Championships. The team is led by head coach Nathan Lavery, who is in his fifth season at the helm of the program. Lavery coached Chelsea Graveraux, the Most Outstanding Female Swimmer at this year’s CAA Championships, who claimed three gold medals and one bronze.
Stolle will join Mimi Moore and Mia Hayes at Drexel in the fall of 2025 as part of the university’s recruiting class.
