As Hamburg, Germany’s bid for the 2024 Summer Olympic Games has come to an end, that of Rome, Italy is gaining new life, as its iconic logo for its endeavor has just been revealed.
Depicting perhaps Italy’s most famous and well-known building, the Roman Colosseum, the logo displays vivid colors of green, red and white to reflect those of the country’s flag. ‘Roma’ appears in blue text within the logo, along with the subtext of “Candidate city Olympic Games 2024”.
The logo was unveiled to an audience of about 2,500 school children and Olympic athletes gathered at the Palazzetto dello Sport today. The ceremony was also broadcast on Italian television. You can view the logo in a quick video loaded onto the 2024 Roma official website.
Said Italian Olympic Committee President Giovanni Malago of the logo’s presentation, “The logo for the 2024 Games is white, red and green because this is not a candidature about Rome but about all of Italy. Like the world of sport we must engage the whole country. We must unite because this is a team sport. United and not alone, because we must win. Long live sport, long live Italy, and long live Rome,” he said.
Rome is one of 4 remaining candidates in the running to host the 2024 Olympic Games, as the final selection between the Italian city, Budapest, Los Angeles and Paris will be conducted in September 2017.

Europe seems like next … 08 Asia, 12 Europe, 16 Americas, 20 Asia, 24 ???
I like the idea of LA but if Trump is president and enacts the policies he is throwing out there that would kill the L.A. bid.
