We’re halfway through the 2015 World Championships, which means things are starting to get interesting in our 2015 FINA World Championships Pick ‘Em Contest (presented by TYR). The day four winner was marc-s89, who capitalized on correct 1-2-3 picks in the men’s 1500 free, as well as correct 1-2 selections in the mixed medley relay and men’s 50 breast to score 39 points.
The day four numbers:
Total possible points: 71
Contestant average: 22.5
Standard deviation: 4.9 (meaning 66% of contestants were between 17.7 and 27.4 points)
- Three of four individual event favorites (according to our readers) came away victorious: Katie Ledecky (204 of 436 first place votes), Sun Yang (214), and Adam Peaty (347)
- The single exception was the men’s 200 fly, where Laszlo “Fine Wine” Cseh (just 14 first place votes) took down Chad le Clos (303) for the win
- The United States (364 first place votes) were heavy favorites in the mixed medley relay. Champion Great Britain actually had the next-closest likelihood in our readers’ eyes, garnering 29 first place votes
- Special shout-out to JOBOBBY, who was the only reader to correctly pick the men’s 800 1-4 finishers.

Dang.
I just seem to be going backwards each day and it does not look good for today. Is there anyway to see the full list of picks? The one I got from the other page earlier only goes through the 4×200 women’s relay( picks 1 through 8 but missing 9) and I can’ see anything after it.
