TYR Sport Raises Over $200,000 For The Breast Cancer Research Foundation

TYR Sport, the leading global manufacturer of swim and triathlon gear, is proud to announce it has raised over $200,000 for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation® (BCRF) through sales of the TYR Pink collection.

Now in it’s second year, the co-ed TYR Pink collection has been expanded to include even more exciting products that cater to all ages and skill levels. For every purchase from the collection, TYR donates between $1 – $5 to BCRF.
“BCRF is so proud to partner with TYR for a second year to support this campaign and, in turn, our work to advance groundbreaking research globally,” said Myra Biblowit, president of BCRF. “It’s thanks to altruistic brands like TYR that help fuel BCRF’s mission.”

Since 1993 BCRF has raised more than half a billion dollars for lifesaving research. Funded by a unique grants program, BCRF acquires the brightest minds in medicine and provides them with necessary resources to research their theories. As a result, researchers are able to make developments and design new approaches to conquer all aspects of breast cancer.

“TYR is humbled and honored to work with a foundation near to our hearts. We continue to work together as a team to support the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and their incredible work,” said Matt DiLorenzo, chief executive officer of TYR Sport.

About the Breast Cancer Research Foundation

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) advances the world’s most promising research to eradicate breast cancer. Founded by Evelyn H. Lauder in 1993, BCRF has raised more than $500 million to fuel discoveries in tumor biology, genetics, prevention, treatment, survivorship and metastasis, making it one of the largest non-governmental funders of breast cancer research in the world. This year, BCRF is investing $58.6 million in research, including $11.6 million to the international Evelyn H. Lauder Founder’s Fund focused on metastasis, to support more than 220 researchers at leading medical institutions across six continents. By spending 91 cents of every dollar on research and public awareness programs, BCRF remains one of the nation’s most fiscally responsible nonprofits. BCRF is the only breast cancer organization with an “A+” from CharityWatch, and has been awarded Charity Navigator’s highest rating of four stars 12 times since 2002.
