South Bend, Indiana’s Timothy Greci has verbally committed to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Greci swims for the Michiana Stars and for his high school, St. Joseph High School in South Bend. Greci finished 17th in the 100 breast and swam the breaststroke leg on St. Joseph’s ninth-place 200 medley relay at the 2015 IHSAA Boys Swimming/Diving Championship last February.

“I chose the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee because the coaching staff and team instantly made me feel at home. I feel that UWM is the perfect fit for me to excel in the classroom and in the pool. Go Panthers!”

Greci had a very successful meet at the USA Swimming Futures Championships in West Lafayette last summer; he placed seventh in the 100 meter breast and finished with a Winter Nationals time of 1:05.58. His best times are:

  SCY LCM
100 breast 57.78 1:05.58
200 breast 2:06.64 2:26.07
200 IM 1:58.57 2:17.02
100 fly 53.69

Greci’s times in the 100 and 200 breaststrokes are already right at the cusp of scoring in the two-heat-final-format of the Horizon League. He will be an excellent addition to the Milwaukee squad as they continue to pursue Oakland for control of the conference championship title.
