We reported on the highlights of the 2019 Emek Hefer Open, which took place in Israel over the weekend, with notables such as Hungarian Kristof Milak competing. Hear from the 19-year-old multiple Youth Olympic Games gold medalist himself, as the teen talks poolside after winning the men’s 100m fly there in 52.67.

On his own fly swim, Milal states that his effort ‘wasn’t easy’ and when asked who he’s targeting in the event, the teen states, “I don’t think anyone can catch [Caeleb] Dressel. He’s a beast.” Milak is also seeing Japan’s SCM World Record holder Daiya Seto as a primary rival in the longer fly race for Gwangju this summer.

That guy Marius Kusch from Germany is gettin pretty good. His start and front end speed is approaching Dressel. Don’t sleep on him for the medal hunt.

A 51.3 is a very fast time, but it’s not what it used to be. I’m pretty sure he was shaved and tapered recently, considering he crushed his PB. He was 52.2 at Euros last year.

Honestly if Le Clos can’t get himself together at the Olympics we could see a 1-2-3 of Dressel, Milak and Kenderesi

There are many worthy opponents, not only Dressel. Dressel is no longer in 2017 worlds form so not to worry.

Every great swimmer has there down seasons. Dressel had a motorcycle accident and didn’t work on his start as consistently as he used to. I have no doubt he’ll be back in form in no time, if he isn’t already.

Who could expect in 2013 that we wouldn’t see anything spectacular in the following years from 18 years old rising star Missy Franklin?

Of course that’s always possible, but…. he just got 3 in season best times at the pro series meet…. 48.71 100 free, 51.5 100 fly, and 22.0 50 free.
