Walsh, Coll Marti Named ACC Swimmers of the Meet; 2025 All-ACC Swim & Dive Team Announced

Greensboro, N.C. (theACC.com) – The 2025 All-ACC Swimming and Diving teams have been announced. The All-ACC Swimming & Diving teams are made up of the top three finishers in each event plus all members of the first-place relay teams at the ACC Championships.

2025 ACC Championships Most Valuable Swimmers and Divers

  • Women’s Swimmer: Gretchen Walsh, Virginia – Walsh went undefeated throughout the competition, sweeping the women’s 50 free (20.60), 100 free (45.20) and 100 back (48.95) while contributing to four winning relays. That included leading off the record-setting 800 free relay relay for Virginia (6:44.13) with the second-fastest swim ever in the 200 free (1:39.34), and she also unleashed the fastest fly split ever in the 400 medley relay (47.00) and the fastest free split ever in the 400 free relay (44.93).
  • Men’s Swimmer: Carles Coll Marti, Virginia Tech – Coll Marti won the men’s 200 breast title for the third time in his career, breaking his own ACC Record in a time of 1:49.62, and he added a second individual title in the 200 IM (1:40.95). He was also 4th in the 100 breast (51.34) and had a 50.86 split as Virginia Tech placed 3rd in the men’s 400 medley relay.
  • Women’s Diver: Aranza Vázquez Montaño, North Carolina – Vázquez Montaño won the women’s 1-meter title for the third straight year, and she was also the runner-up on platform and 5th in the 3-meter event to score 85 points for UNC.
  • Men’s Diver: Max Flory, Miami – Flory reclaimed the conference title in the men’s platform diving event, and he also placed 2nd on 1-meter and 6th on 3-meter to lead male divers with 84 points. Flory, who redshirted the 2023-24 season, swept all three events at the 2023 championships.
