Anne Lepesant caught up with Aaron Peirsol at CIFSS Division I prelims. Peirsol, who has been coaching the Newport Harbor High School for the last three months, reflects on what the experience has meant to him and what he has learned being “on the other side.”
Peirsol summed up his year with, “We were trying to get the work done and enjoy ourselves as much as possible.”
Aaron Peirsol just seems like a good dude. One of my favorite swimmers over the past decade, always enjoyed his success. Couldn’t imagine having him as a H.S. coach – that must be a fantastic experience. I’m not sure my H.S. coach could even swim…
