USC’s Famous, Arizona’s Earley Named Pac-12 Women’s Swimmer & Diver of the Week

WOMEN’S SWIMMER OF THE WEEK: Caroline Famous, Sr., USC (Wayne, Pa.)

  • Against a UCLA team that sits just outside the top-25, Famous helped the No. 4 Trojans to a 164-136 win over their in-state rivals.
  • With 22 individual points, the most of any Trojan, Famous picked up two individual wins, a relay win and an individual runner-up finish.
  • Touched first in the 100 back in a pool record time of 51.82 and posted a career-best in the 100 fly (51.93).
  • Led off USC’s winning 200 medley relay, swimming a 50 back split of 24.10.
  • Helped the Trojans close out their first undefeated season in program history (9-0).
  • Second career Pac-12 Women’s Swimmer of the Week award and second of the season (Feb. 6, 2024).

WOMEN’S DIVER OF THE WEEK: Brooke Earley, Jr., ARIZONA (Aliso Viejo, Calif.) 

  • Competing as Arizona’s sole female diver, Earley swept No. 21 Arizona State and posted two personal bests (6 dives).
  • In the 1 Meter, the junior finished on top by almost 40 points with a score of 305.03.
  • Earley took home first in the 3 Meter with a score of 341.63, 40 points ahead of the runner-up.
  • Second career Pac-12 Women’s Swimmer of the Week award and second of the season (Jan. 23, 2024).
