Jack Gibson, a current high school senior from Fairfax Station, Virginia, has committed to swim for Division I University of Delaware under head coach Pablo Marmolejo. Gibson will graduate from Lake Braddock High School in spring 2020 and join the Blue Hen’s class of 2024.
Gibson is a current swimmer for Machine Aquatics. At the 2020 Virginia High School League Class 6A State Championships, Gibson placed 7th in the 100 breaststroke (58.33) and placed 6th in the 400 IM (4:12.09) at the 2019 Speedo Champion Series—Christiansburg. He is also a Futures and spring Junior Nationals qualifier.

Gibson would have had multiple finals performances at the 2020 CAA Swimming and Diving Championships with his current best times. Most notably, he would have placed 12th in the 200 breaststroke and 13th in the 400 IM.
With these times, Gibson would have been the Blue Hen’s fastest 400 IM’er and 3rd fastest 200 breaststroker at the meet.

- 500 freestyle – 4:50.79
- 100 breaststroke – 57.92
- 200 breaststroke – 2:04.93
- 200 butterfly – 1:54.40
- 200 IM – 1:56.20
- 400 IM – 4:05.24
At the CAA Championships, the Blue Hens placed 5th as a team.
