In the midst of a scandal involving a cell phone found recording swimmers in a locker room, Towson University focused on limiting how much information was released to the team and the public, The Baltimore Sun reports after examining dozens of University e-mails.
The full Baltimore Sun report, which you can find here, is based on “dozens” of e-mails provided in a public records request. An excerpt from the report:
As reporters and parents pressed Towson University for details about a phone that was discovered recording swim team members in a pool locker room in October, campus officials focused on limiting the flow of information, according to emails reviewed by The Baltimore Sun.
Information coming out of Towson has indeed been scarce – when news first surfaced that police were investigating a phone found in the swim team locker room, Towson declined to comment to SwimSwam on the grounds that the investigation was ongoing.
That was back in October. Last month, the school promoted assistant Jake Shrum to acting head coach, but would not comment on the statuses of head coach Pat Mead, diving coach Maureen Mead or assistant coach Adrienne Phillips.
Maureen Mead has since been charged with a felony and two misdemeanors in Maryland. You can read more about the charges here.
What does the title have to do with the article. It seemed from the title that more information was found and not more of the same old Towson isn’t saying anything
nevermind I see that it was in the link to the Baltimore Sun
