On Sunday morning, the squad of Averie Hager, Jaylee Hager, Bexon Harrison, and Will Harrison—affectionately dubbed the “Quad H Relay” by one of their teammates—made history by breaking the National Age Group (NAG) Record in the Mixed 400 Freestyle Relay.

The previous record stood at 3:08.50. These four exceptional athletes obliterated it, clocking an astonishing 3:06.14—nearly 2.5 seconds faster!

Bexon Harrison led off with a blazing 43.69, a personal best and faster than his silver-medal performance at the 2025 High School State meet. Bexon is also committed to swim at South Carolina University on a scholarship starting in 2025.

Will Harrison, his younger brother, followed with a 44.37—just 0.03 off his best, marking his second-fastest split ever.

Averie Hager took the third leg, skipping right over the 49-second barrier to post a lifetime-best split of 48.93. Averie is a Notre Dame commit and will be swimming on a scholarship starting in 2026.

Jaylee Hager brought it home with her signature anchor leg, finishing strong with a personal best of 49.15. Like her twin sister, Jaylee is also a Notre Dame commit and will join the Fighting Irish in 2026 on scholarship.

This is more than just fast swimming—it’s a moment of history. National Age Group records represent the fastest times ever swum in the U.S. by athletes 18 & under. Breaking one is a rare and extraordinary achievement that reflects not only talent but also immense dedication, hard work, and sacrifice from both swimmers and coaches.

Coach Aaron Moran shared his thoughts on the team’s success:

“I am overjoyed by this historic accomplishment by these 4 incredible athletes and people. They work hard in the pool and push their teammates to do the same day in and day out. They deserve all the praise they have coming their way for how they carry themselves in pursuit of excellence. Our club at Streamline Aquatics is beyond proud of them!!”

“We are incredibly proud of Averie, Jaylee, Bexon, and Will—not just for their performance, but for the way they inspire others with their character, teamwork, and drive.”

“Thank you to the teammates, families, and supporters who helped make this moment so special. And most of all—congratulations to our record-breaking relay!”

This accomplishment will be remembered not just by the time on the scoreboard, but by the impact it has on everyone chasing big dreams in the pool.
