Global swimwear brand Speedo has today announced a partnership with City of Derby Swimming Club ahead of the rollout of a programme designed to support grass roots clubs and promising young swimmers.
The club has signed a deal which will see them wear Speedo apparel and caps, with the brand also offering scholarship schemes which will help support potential stars of the future in getting access to racing suits.
This announcement signifies a move from Speedo to build relationships with clubs and help young swimmers on their journeys through the sport, with additional clubs able to join the programme from Spring 2021 onwards.

City of Derby is one of Derbyshire’s premier swimming clubs and regularly perform strongly on the national and international stage within domestic leagues. The club has previously produced stars such as Adam Peaty and Ross Davenport.
To mark the start of the partnership, Speedo invited City of Derby swimmers to be a part of the launch of its latest Glow Ultraviolet Fastskin suit, allowing them to appear in marketing materials alongside global superstars such as Caeleb Dressel, Kathleen Baker and Duncan Scott.
