JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The SCAD women’s swimming team defeated University of North Florida 119 – 86 on Friday.

TEAM SCORE: The Bees totaled 119 to place them ahead of the Ospreys by 33 points.

DID YOU KNOW? SCAD only lost two out of the 11 events.

WINNING TIMES: Marjamaa won the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:22.45.

Givens placed first in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:54.72 as well as first in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:07.19.

With a time of 24.09, Sizemore won the 50-yard freestyle, and she also won the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 52.76.

Song won the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:09.41.

Ulmer placed first in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:06.98.

With a time of 2:22.85, Hahn placed first in the 200-yard breaststroke.

INTO THE RECORD BOOKS: Marjamaa moved from fifth SCAD all-time in the 1000 to second in the event. VanBuskirk moved from 10th all-time to third with her second-place finish in the 1000.

Hahn moved into the all-time records in eighth place with a win in the 200 breaststroke.

Givens also moved into the list for the second meet in a row; this time in the 200 back putting her in seventh place in the record books.

TOP RELAYS: Song, Givens, Elz and Sizemore placed first in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:34.66.

In the 200-yard medley relay, Gillooly, Hahn, Ulmer, and Aaron placed second with a time of 1:50.37.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida swimming competed in its final meet of the month as it hosted the Savannah College of Art and Design for Senior Day Friday, Oct. 28. UNF honored senior Ashley Cozad, recognizing her for all of her success and leadership as an Osprey. Despite tallying 14 top three finishes, the Ospreys fell short in a tightly contested meet.

Also of note, freshman Faith Mutschler finished with the second fastest time in the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) in the 500 free, posting a mark of 5:05.28.

CLIPBOARD NOTES

  • McKenna FioreMadison Reynolds and Madelyn York all competed in their first official swims of the season after taking part in time trials last week at the FSU Quad Meet
  • Mutschler won the only individual event for the Ospreys, touching the wall first in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:05.28
  • The group of Sara MaschmeierVictoria TorresClaire Kerber and Kate Eaton took home first place in the 200 medley relay, finishing in 1:49.64
