RACE VIDEOS: Men’s and women’s 4×50 free relay at Brazil’s Maria Lenk Trophy

The highly-competitive Maria Lenk Trophy is underway in Brazil, with the country’s best swimmers vying for spots on the Pan Pacs team and a group of talented foreigners contributing to a spirited team battle.

Race video has surfaced from both sprint free relays swum on Monday night, the 4×50 freestyle events for men and women. The men’s race is above, which featured Cesar Cielo blasting a 21.71 to lead off Minas’s winning relay. The women’s event is below, with Corinthians taking the gold thanks to their powerhouse foreign duo of Katinka Hosszu and Jeanette Ottesen.

This event would be sick to watch at worlds

The US would absolutely MURDER everybody if this was an event based on US trials in 2012. 5 guys under 22 flat start? Just give them the gold.

The men’s 4×50 free yes, it would be US for the taking,
but the women’s 4×50 free would place AUS as the favorite.

Favorite?No doubt about it.But Murder everybody?No… i would put in the mix Australia,France and Brazil.Because of the speed, i think there is a lot of more chance for DQ´s.
