Michigan State captain David Zoltkowski awarded Goldwater Scholarship

Michigan State junior David Zoltkowski has been named winner of the prestigious Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship, given to undergraduates across the nation.

Zoltkowski, a Spartan captain and electrical engineering major, is one of 283 students awarded the scholarship for 2014-2015.

The Barry M. Goldwater scholarship is given to sophomores and juniors in the fields of mathematics, natural sciences and engineering.

Zoltkowski, originally from West Lafayette, Indiana, is a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and competes in a multitude of different events for the Spartans, including the 200 fly and 400 IM.
