Pernille Blume Breaks Danish Record in 50 Free Again in Finals

2017 FINA WORLD SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS

Danish swimmer Pernille Blume broke her own National Record in the 50 freestyle. She swam a 24.00 in the race, which broke her own record of 24.05 from the semi-finals.

Blume first broke this record in the prelims of the Olympics last season after it had stood for more than two years. Blume has now lowered that mark four times, for a total of four-tenths of a second, in the year since.

Blume has also broken national records in the 100 free (52.69) en route to a bronze medal.
