Patrick Wellman, a current high school senior from Dublin, Ohio, has committed to swim for Division III Ohio Northern University. Wellman will graduate from Jerome High School in spring 2020 and join the Polar Bear’s class of 2024.
Wellman is a current year-round swimmer for the Dublin Community Swim Team. Earlier this year, he placed 4th in the 100 butterfly (52.59) at the Central District Sectionals—Kenyon.

I would like to thank my parents, my guidance counselor, my coaches, and my teammates for their help and support throughout this process. I am so excited for these next four years! This year at the 2020 OAC Swimming and Diving Championships with the Polar Bears, Wellman would have had multiple finals performances with his current best times.
Most notably, he would have placed 6th in the 200 butterfly (1:59.09) and 10th in the 100 butterfly (52.59).

At the OAC Championships this year, the Polar Bears placed 3rd as a team, with 14 team members being given All-Academic Ohio Athletic Conference honors.
Wellman will begin his swimming career at Ohio Northern University fall 2020.
