Abby Maoz, a two-time USA Swimming Scholastic All-American from Wilsonville, Oregon, has announced she intends to swim at Louisiana State University in the class of 2025. Maoz is a junior at Wilsonville High School; she swims year-round for Tigard Tualatin Swim Club.

Maoz is a Summer Juniors qualifier in the 100 breast and a Winter Juniors qualifier in the 200 breast. She holds the Oregon 5A high school state record in the 100 breast, having gone 1:03.66 to win the event as a freshman in 2018. She repeated her state title at the 2019 OSAA 5A Swimming State Championships, clocking in at 1:04.29. She also came in 2nd in the 100 fly (59.10), swam on the 6th-place medley relay (29.60 breaststroke split), and anchored the 8th-place 400 free relays (only the top 6 places advance to finals in this meet). In club swimming, Maoz competed in the 100/200 breast at 2019 Speedo Junior Nationals and swam the 100 free in Time Trials where she notched a PB. In SCY, she went best times in the 50 free, 100/200 breast and 200 IM at Federal Way Sectionals last spring.

Maoz is just outside scoring range at the conference level in her main events; it took 1:01.92/ 2:13.24 to get a second swim in the 100/200 breast at 2019 SEC Championships. Maoz will overlap with freshman Niamh Robinson, the top breaststroker for the Tigers so far this season.
