“I’m proud of how the team performed today,” said diving coach Eric Sprague.  “College dual meets are the only time divers compete more than one board in a single competition and is very challenging.  I thought our girls put together a strong competition and approached the meet with great determination.  Reece, Holly, Bella, and Brooke had some very good dives this evening.  Congratulations to Darby on securing a zone score on both boards tonight.  She’s our first diver to achieve this score on 1 meter and 3 meter and says a lot about how she’s diving right now.  There’s more there and I know she has some big goals in mind in this season.”

“Our men really performed today too!  We’re building some good depth and if someone is having a down meet, there are others on the team who are showing the ability to step up and take the lead.  Congrats to Cort on getting a win on one meter today.  Special congratulations to Ian Blackstock today as he became the first diver on the men’s side to secure a zone qualifying score.  This has long been Ian’s goal and he has earned this with his work ethic, drive, and determination.  Ian sets the bar high with his practice habits and makes our whole team better.”

“We get back to training for a couple weeks and then we have Augustana on October 27.  There are others on the team with post season goals and I’m confident there will be others taking the trip to zones this season.”
