Genny Pittman has signed her National Letter of Intent with Auburn University beginning next fall. Pittman comes from Birmingham, Alabama. She swims with Birmingham Swim League, with Head Coach Brian Wrighton.

Pittman is one of two of the top three recruits in Alabama to stay in state to swim. This is one of the best in state recruiting classes Auburn has had in years.

Pittman is a supremely-talented sprint freestyler. As a high school freshman, she was 23.33 in the 50 yard freestyle. Though that remains her best time, she’s made big improvements in other parts of her schedule.

That includes a 51.25 in the 100 freestyle, a 54.61 in the 100 backstroke, a 2:00.50 in the 200 backstroke, and a 55.77 100 butterfly: all of which came during her junior season.

Pittman competed in the 2012 Olympic Trials in the 100 backstroke.
