  2 Rachel Harvill | July 21st, 2016

The last wave of tickets for this summer’s Olympic Games in Rio were released this morning. According to the organizing committee, more than 100,000 tickets were put up for sale. There are tickets available for all events, with a number of different seating choices available. Prices range from $40 to watch the finish of the marathon, all the way up $1200 to see Usain Bolt in the 100 meter dash. In addition, the committee has released more tickets for both the Opening and Closing Ceremonies with prices ranging from $200-$4600.

There are tickets available for the swimming sessions on August 6th through the 12th, with prices ranging from $160-$350 to watch heats, and $260-$900 to watch a finals session. Unfortunately there are no more tickets available for the finals session on August 13th, which will feature the women’s 50 freestyle final, the men’s 1500 freestyle final, and both the men’s and women’s 4×100 medley relay.

Tickets can be purchased at the Olympic Game’s official website. Patrons are given the option to either print their tickets at home, or pick them up from one of three official box offices.
