Allie Fenska of the Jersey Wahoos and the Moorestown Friends School has verbally committed to Ohio State for next fall.
I am so excited to announce my verbal commitment to further my academic and swimming career at THE Ohio State University! From the minute I stepped on the beautiful campus and met the dedicated coaching staff and team, I felt at home. My decision was made even easier after learning about the incredible academics and resources available to student-athletes. I chose OSU for their top-tier program, the unique team culture focused on excellence, and the amazing facilities. I want to thank all of my coaches and teammates who have helped me achieve this dream as well as my family and friends for their unwavering support through everything. At the 2020 New Jersey Meet of Champions, Fenska took the 100 fly title and was runner-up in the 50 free.
The OSU women shot out to a commanding victory this past season at the 2020 B1G Championships. It was their first team B1G title since 1986. The Buckeyes have a strong sprint crew, though they’ll lose top sprinters Freya Rayner and Taylor Petrak after next season as both are rising seniors. Rising junior Georgia White and rising sophomore Amy Fulmer will have some overlap with Fenska and the class of 2025.
Also in the class of 2025 so far are Teresa Ivan, Gwen Woodbury, Mackenzie DeWitt, Mairin O’Brien, Paige Hall, and Malia Rausch.
