The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has released its time standards for the 2017 NAIA Swimming and Diving Championships March 1st – March 4th at the Columbus Aquatics Center in Columbus, Georgia.
The national meet made the move to Georgia last season, after taking place in Oklahoma City for the four years prior. Last season’s national championships shaped up to be a competition between Olivet Nazarene University and the Savannah College of Art and Design, with Olivet taking the men’s competition and SCAD winning the women’s.
There will be a slight change in schedule this year, placing the 800 free relays in their own session on the night of Wednesday, March 1st. The meet schedule now reflects the NCAA championship lineup.
You can see the national time standards below. Keep in mind that any swimmer who fails to meet an ‘A’ standard but competes on a relay may swim one event in which they have met the ‘B’ standard. ‘B’ standards are in italics.
